Description

We are a clean-technology company focused on providing sustainable energy and agricultural solutions across Kenya. Our mission is to make clean energy and modern farming tools accessible to more people. To accelerate our growth, we are looking for a Partnerships Manager who will build and manage relationships with key organizations that can help us reach more customers and improve access to financing.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for managing partnerships with Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), B2B partners, NGOs, and other institutions. Your main goal is to strengthen these relationships so that more customers can access our products through financing and other support channels. You will work closely with partners to drive customer acquisition, improve processes, and ensure our partnerships are delivering real results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and Grow Partnerships: Build strong, long-term relationships with MFIs, SACCOs, B2B companies, and NGOs. Identify new partnership opportunities and negotiate agreements that benefit both parties.

  • Drive Customer Acquisition: Work with partners to develop initiatives that bring in new customers. This includes joint marketing efforts, referral programs, and financing solutions that make our products more affordable.

  • Improve Operational Efficiency: Review and refine partnership processes to make them smoother and more effective. Ensure that partners have the tools and support they need to succeed.

  • Track and Report Performance: Monitor how each partnership is performing against set targets. Prepare regular reports with clear data and insights for management, highlighting what is working and where improvements are needed.

  • Train and Enable Partners: Organize training sessions and provide ongoing support to partners so they understand our products and can confidently promote them to their clients.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or relationship management. You should have a proven track record of managing external partners and driving growth.

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong exposure to MFIs, SACCOs, PAYGO models, or asset financing. You understand how these organizations work and how to align their goals with ours.

  • Analytical Skills: You are comfortable working with data. You can track performance metrics, analyze results, and create reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

  • Communication: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You can negotiate effectively, present ideas clearly, and build trust with partners.

  • Added Advantage (not required): Experience in clean energy, climate finance, or impact-driven projects is a plus.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work in a meaningful sector and contribute to Kenya's transition to clean energy.

  • A chance to grow with a fast-scaling company.

  • A competitive salary package within the range indicated.
