Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Corporate Secretary to provide high-level governance, legal advisory, and administrative support to our Board of Directors and CEO. This role is ideal for a professional with strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of corporate governance best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Board & Governance Support: Organize Board meetings, draft agendas and minutes, track action items and follow-ups, and advise on corporate governance best practices.
Administrative Leadership: Manage executive calendars, coordinate internal and external stakeholder engagements, and prepare strategic reports for leadership.
Legal & Regulatory Advisory: Guide corporate legal matters, liaise with external counsel, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Compliance & Statutory Registers: Maintain up-to-date company registers (KEBS, KIPI, NEMA, County Government) and manage insurance records.
Records Management: Oversee the custody of legal documents, board resolutions, and official corporate files.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in board support, corporate governance, or company secretarial roles.
