Description
We are seeking an experienced Kaizen Manager to lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the organisation. The successful candidate will drive Lean practices, eliminate waste, improve productivity, reduce operational costs, and promote a strong culture of continuous improvement across manufacturing and site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual Kaizen and Continuous Improvement strategy.
- Lead improvement projects focused on cost reduction, fuel and energy efficiency, boiler optimisation, productivity, and waste reduction.
- Implement and maintain 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and operational excellence standards across sites.
- Conduct Gemba walks, process mapping, site audits, and bottleneck analysis.
- Lead root-cause analysis using 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa, PDCA, A3, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process standards.
- Establish and manage a network of Kaizen Champions across departments and sites.
- Train and coach employees on Lean and continuous improvement tools.
- Manage the employee suggestion and improvement scheme.
- Track, quantify, and report cost savings and financial returns from Kaizen initiatives.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly continuous improvement and ROI reports for management.
- Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and site teams to deliver measurable improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5–7 years’ relevant experience, with at least 2–3 years in a Lean, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement leadership role.
- Proven experience in manufacturing, plant operations, boiler operations, and maintenance optimisation.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, process improvement, and operational excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Preferred Certifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Kaizen Practitioner
- Lean Manufacturing / 5S
- ISO Lead Auditor
