Receptionist/Cashier at Swahili Beach

The Receptionist/Cashier is the first point of contact for guests and ensures
an exceptional guest experience. This role involves welcoming guests, handling reservations, managing check-ins and check-outs, processing payments, and providing assistance during their stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure.
• Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
• Respond to guest inquiries in person, via phone, or email, providing accurate and
• helpful information about the hotel’s services and local attractions.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate issues as necessary
• Process payments for room bookings, dining, and other services accurately and securely.
• Reconcile cash and card transactions at the end of each shift.
• Maintain proper records of all financial transactions in compliance with hotel policies.
• Maintain and update guest records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly.
• Monitor room availability and assist with booking reservation
• Assist other front desk staff during peak times or special events.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements

• Diploma in Hotel management or equivalent; a degree in hospitality is a plus.
• Prior experience as a receptionist, cashier, or in a customer service role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, PMS) and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately.
