About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Workshop Supervisor to take charge of our vehicle workshop operations in Mazeras. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance and repair activities, managing workshop staff, and ensuring the company fleet remains in optimal condition to support business operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep technical knowledge of heavy commercial vehicles, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Workshop Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring timely and quality vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Plan and schedule preventive maintenance for the company fleet to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
Diagnose recurring mechanical issues and implement corrective measures to improve fleet reliability.
Team Supervision & Leadership
Supervise mechanics and workshop staff, allocating tasks effectively and monitoring performance.
Provide guidance, training, and support to workshop personnel to enhance productivity and skill levels.
Inventory & Procurement
Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment at all times.
Manage inventory levels and coordinate procurement needs in a cost-effective manner.
Record Keeping & Reporting
Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and repair reports for all fleet vehicles.
Prepare regular reports on workshop performance, costs, and fleet status for management review.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce workshop safety standards and ensure full compliance with relevant regulations.
Promote a culture of safety among all workshop staff.
Cost Control & Efficiency
Control workshop costs and identify opportunities to reduce downtime and expenses.
Liaise with the operations team to minimize vehicle downtime and support optimal fleet availability.
Qualifications
Education
Minimum Diploma in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Additional certifications in fleet management or related fields are an added advantage.
Experience
Proven experience managing a vehicle workshop or fleet maintenance operation.
Sound knowledge of heavy commercial vehicle systems, including:
Engines
Transmissions
Hydraulics
Electrical systems

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
