IT Support Officer

We are looking for an IT Support Officer to provide technical support to our retail operations. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain network systems, and ensure smooth operation of point-of-sale (POS) systems and ERP platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.

2. Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues for retail staff, including POS system failures.

3. Provide support and maintenance for ERP systems such as Sage and Odoo.

4. Manage network administration, including routers, switches, and internet connectivity.

5. Ensure data backup and security across all systems.

6. Train staff on IT systems and software usage.

7. Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses.

8. Liaise with external vendors for repairs and system upgrades.

9. Respond to IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

1. Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

2. 2–3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a retail environment.

3. Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Sage or Odoo (highly preferred).

4. Knowledge of POS systems and troubleshooting.

5. Strong understanding of network administration (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls).

6. Proficiency in computer hardware and software troubleshooting.

7. Good communication and problem-solving skills.

8. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
