Mechanical Technicians

We are seeking skilled and dependable Mechanical Technicians to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot packing machines in a high-capacity flour milling factory. The ideal candidates should have a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience with packaging equipment, and the ability to minimize machine downtime through efficient maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain automated packing machines and related mechanical systems.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on packing machines to ensure optimal performance and reduce breakdowns.

• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs with minimal supervision.

• Adjust machine settings during product changeovers and packaging line setups.

• Work closely with the production and quality control teams to ensure packaging processes meet standards.

• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and report issues to the maintenance supervisor.

• Adhere to safety, hygiene, and operational procedures within the factory environment.

• Assist in training junior technicians or machine operators on basic troubleshooting techniques.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

• Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience working with packing machines, preferably in a food or flour milling factory.

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatic components, and machine operation.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with automated or semi-automated packaging systems.

• Basic knowledge of electrical components is an added advantage.
