Project Manager – Fibre Optics & Electrical Networks

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Project Manager – Fibre Optics & Electrical Networks to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of fibre optic and electrical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the telecommunications industry, with a solid technical understanding of fibre optics, network systems, and internet installations, as well as proven leadership and team management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage fibre optic and electrical installation projects from initiation to completion.
• Supervise site teams, contractors, and technicians to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
• Oversee fibre optic cable laying, splicing, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage internet installation projects including router configuration, network setup, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Monitor project performance and prepare progress reports for management and clients.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolving technical and operational challenges effectively.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Train and mentor technical teams to enhance productivity and technical competence.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3–5 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Strong knowledge of fibre optics systems (splicing, testing, OTDR, termination).
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure, internet installations, and structured cabling.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams and supervising field operations.
• Proficiency in project planning and reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
