Site Agent

We are looking for a competent and experienced Site Agent to join our team for upcoming construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting architectural, structural, mechanical, and related drawings, overseeing site execution, and supporting monthly work programming to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Site Management

• Supervise and oversee the day-to-day execution of construction works, ensuring compliance with client specifications and approved drawings.

• Review project progress regularly and liaise with quantity surveyors to monitor and control costs.

• Formulate, update, maintain, and distribute the project work program.

• Manage subcontractors and coordinate both nominated and domestic subcontractors.

• Coordinate and supervise construction workers and site activities to ensure efficient workflow.

2. Reporting and Key Relationships

• Liaise with consultants including architects, structural engineers, and electrical and mechanical engineers to obtain and clarify technical details.

• Attend site meetings and maintain accurate site documents, reports, and records.

• Accompany clients during site visits, providing updates on project progress, variations, and changes.

• Work closely with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure expectations are met.

• Promote site harmony by resolving emerging conflicts in consultation with the Project Manager.

3. Safety and Standards

• Ensure high standards of quality workmanship and proper building and engineering practices.

• Remain on-site during working hours to provide guidance, supervision, and defect prevention.

• Set, implement, and enforce safety standards for each job site.

• Ensure contractors, subcontractors, and workers adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university.

• Solid understanding of project management principles and site operations.

• Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in construction projects.

• Experience in both building and civil construction projects will be an added advantage.

• High standards of workmanship with strong attention to detail.

• Proven leadership, communication, and teamwork skills to effectively guide contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
