Human Resource Officer

To support and execute HR functions while providing supervisory oversight on HR operations. The role ensures proper staff alignment across departments, proactively identifies and addresses workforce gaps, and promotes compliance and efficiency within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all company internal policies and external statutory regulations.

• Oversee the execution of approved departmental plans to achieve company objectives.

• Prepare and review HR documents including contracts, disciplinary letters, and internal communications.

Staff Performance & Workforce Planning

• Monitor staff performance trends and escalate gaps for corrective action.

• Work closely with departmental heads to align staffing levels, productivity, and discipline.

• Follow up on identified gaps (staffing, performance, compliance) and ensure timely resolution.

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Coordinate and support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.

Employee Relations & Advisory

• Handle employee relations matters and provide first-level HR advisory support.

• Support training coordination, performance management processes, and staff welfare initiatives.

Attendance & Leave Management

• Oversee attendance management, leave administration, and absenteeism control.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an HR role.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Kenyan labour laws and statutory compliance.
• Skills: People management skills are compulsory.
• Professional Affiliation: Membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) is preferred.
