Dispatch Officer

Our client in the animal feeds industry is looking to hire a detail-oriented and organized Dispatch Officer to join their team in Nakuru. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the timely and accurate dispatch of products, maintaining delivery schedules, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee the dispatch of animal feed products to customers and distribution points
• Prepare dispatch documentation including delivery notes, invoices, and stock movement records
• Ensure accurate loading and offloading of products according to orders and delivery schedules
• Monitor and track deliveries to ensure timely arrival and customer satisfaction
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to resolve any delivery-related issues
• Maintain proper records of dispatched goods and update inventory systems accordingly
• Conduct regular checks to ensure that dispatched products meet quality and quantity standards
• Assist in inventory counts and stock reconciliation activities
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and transport regulations during dispatch operations
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch reports for management review

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 1–2 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or warehousing (experience in the animal feeds or manufacturing sector is an added advantage)
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
• Good communication and coordination abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic knowledge of inventory or dispatch software
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
