
Logistics & Wholesale Officer – Mwingi Africa
Description
To coordinate wholesale sales and logistics operations in the region by ensuring efficient product distribution, meeting sales targets, and managing field teams and logistical processes to support growth in last-mile and retail channels.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Wholesale Management:
- Drive wholesale sales performance to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly
- Onboard and manage relationships with retailers, stockists, and distribution
- Monitor performance of wholesale routes and develop strategies to improve
- Collect and analyze field sales data to inform decision-making and
Logistics Coordination:
- Plan and oversee the transportation of goods to Franchisees and wholesale
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery and stock replenishment in remote
- Track and report stock movements from warehouse to field
- Optimize delivery schedules and routes for fuel and time
Team Supervision and Field Support:
- Supervise field logistics staff including drivers and delivery
- Coordinate daily activities of Wholesale Officers and ensure alignment with
- Provide on-ground support in last-mile areas and troubleshoot logistical
Inventory and Distribution Oversight:
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure stock availability and readiness for
- Reconcile daily dispatches and returns, and maintain accurate delivery
- Monitor stock levels across field locations and recommend replenishment actions
Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales performance and logistics
- Ensure adherence to operational SOPs, safety standards, and company
- Support audits and ensure documentation compliance in logistics an
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, field distribution, or wholesale
- Strong understanding of last-mile delivery and rural distribution
- Experience managing field teams and working with local retailers is a
- Computer literacy (Excel, logistics apps, inventory systems).
