Operations Manager – Exports

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the coordination between farm production, international buyers, and export logistics. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in horticulture, floriculture, or fresh produce exports and be able to ensure orders are delivered according to buyer specifications and export requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecast stem availability approximately two weeks ahead of harvest using farm production data.
• Liaise with international buyers to confirm orders and align requirements with farm production capacity.
• Coordinate with farm teams to ensure products meet specific buyer quality and quantity requirements.
• Oversee export documentation, including Airway Bills and relevant compliance documents.
• Coordinate drivers, transport schedules, and logistics to ensure timely movement of produce.
• Maintain accurate records of farm inputs, including chemicals and fertilisers.
• Maintain updated Grower records and other operational documentation.
• Monitor the flow of produce from harvest through packing, dispatch, and export.
• Identify operational challenges and work with relevant teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in operations management within horticulture, floriculture, fresh produce, or a related export environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management and fresh produce export processes.
• Experience preparing or coordinating Airway Bills and export documentation.
• Practical experience in logistics coordination, fleet management, and driver scheduling.
• Good understanding of farm input and Grower record management.
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, particularly when working with farm teams and international buyers.
