Workshop Manager

Taita Hills & Salt Lick Wildlife Resort Ltd is seeking to recruit a competent and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the efficient functioning of our workshop operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all workshop activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, and maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily workshop operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Supervise and support workshop staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, inventory, and equipment usage.
• Ensure timely execution and completion of maintenance and repair projects.
• Enforce safety protocols and compliance with operational standards.
• Diagnose and address mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
• Implement preventive maintenance procedures to reduce equipment downtime and recurring problems.
• Liaise with other departments to coordinate workshop support for resort operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a busy workshop environment.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with a wide range of workshop tools, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team management.
• Experience in the hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
