Description
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, ethical practice, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and policies.
- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, nursing assessments, and care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Ensure infection prevention and control protocols are strictly followed.
- Participate in health promotion and community outreach initiatives when required.
- Report any unusual symptoms, incidents, or changes in patients’ conditions to the attending physician or supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized institution.
- Must be registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
- Minimum of 3 years' post-licensure experience in a busy clinical setting (hospital, health center, or clinic).
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records is desirable.
