Description

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is looking to hire a highly organized, hands-on, and results-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and ensure the efficient receipt, storage, control, and dispatch of materials and finished products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating warehouse activities, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring that materials are available to support uninterrupted production and customer deliveries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of materials and finished goods.

  • Lead, allocate duties to, and monitor the performance of warehouse staff to ensure productivity and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure all incoming raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, and finished products are properly received, verified, recorded, and stored.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure physical stock consistently reconciles with system and documentation records.

  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and participate in periodic stocktaking exercises.

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Procurement, Production, Sales, and other relevant departments to ensure timely availability of materials.

  • Implement proper warehouse organization and ensure efficient utilization of available storage space.

  • Ensure materials and products are stored according to company standards, including appropriate handling, identification, labeling, and stock rotation.

  • Apply FIFO/FEFO principles where applicable to minimize product expiry, deterioration, and obsolescence.

  • Coordinate the timely issuance of raw materials and other items to the production department in line with approved requisitions.

  • Oversee the safe and accurate dispatch of finished goods and ensure all dispatch documentation is properly completed.

  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages, shortages, and variances and escalate significant issues where necessary.

  • Maintain proper documentation for all warehouse transactions, including Goods Received Notes, Material Requisitions, Delivery Notes, Stock Transfer Notes, and other relevant records.

  • Ensure warehouse equipment, storage areas, racks, pallets, and handling facilities are properly maintained and used safely.

  • Enforce warehouse health, safety, security, housekeeping, and environmental standards.

  • Monitor warehouse access and ensure materials and finished goods are adequately secured against loss, damage, or unauthorized access.

  • Coordinate with transport and logistics teams to support timely deliveries and efficient movement of goods.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, warehouse performance, discrepancies, and operational issues.

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, reduce wastage, minimize losses, and improve inventory accuracy.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Perform any other duties related to warehouse operations as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of relevant warehouse experience, preferably within a manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environment.

  • At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or team-lead role.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, stock control, and logistics processes.

  • Experience working with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems will be an added advantage.

  • Good understanding of FIFO/FEFO, stock reconciliation, cycle counting, and warehouse documentation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant computer applications.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.

  • High level of integrity, accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
