Pharmaceutical Technologist – Kiambu

Our client, a reputable retail pharmacy in Kiambu, is urgently seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Pharmaceutical Technologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing accurate drug information to customers, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately
• Offer professional advice on drug usage, dosage, and possible side effects
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of medicines
• Maintain up-to-date patient and prescription records
• Receive and verify prescriptions and ensure their authenticity
• Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to avoid stock-outs or expiries
• Comply with regulatory requirements and pharmacy best practices
• Uphold excellent customer service and build strong client relationships
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary

Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
• Must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) and hold a valid practicing license
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working in a retail pharmacy setting
• Proficient in computer systems and pharmacy software
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and regulatory standards
