Pharmaceutical Technologist Trainee – Mombasa

Our client, a well-established retail pharmacy in Mombasa, is urgently seeking to recruit a Pharmaceutical Technologist Trainee. This position is ideal for a fresh graduate who has at least 6 months of hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training and mentorship while supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications under supervision
• Support pharmacists in verifying prescriptions and drug dosages
• Maintain accurate records for prescriptions and patient interactions
• Help with restocking, labeling, and proper storage of drugs
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide basic medication guidance
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area
• Learn and adhere to pharmacy procedures, regulatory requirements, and ethics
• Participate in inventory management and reporting
• Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with clients

Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a retail pharmacy environment (internship or attachment acceptable)
• Computer literate with basic knowledge of pharmacy systems
