BDO – City Expansion Associate

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven City Expansion Associate to support the expansion of Jumia's pickup station network. The role will involve identifying potential businesses, pitching the pickup station opportunity, conducting activations and onboarding new pickup station partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential businesses to become Jumia pickup stations.
• Pitch Jumia's pickup station opportunity to prospective partners.
• Conduct field visits, activations and market outreach.
• Follow up on leads and convert potential partners into active pickup stations.
• Meet assigned sales and pickup station acquisition targets.
• Support the onboarding and activation of new pickup stations.
• Build and maintain good relationships with pickup station partners.
• Identify suitable locations and businesses for network expansion.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, sales activities and new partners.
• Provide regular reports on market activities and progress.
• Identify challenges and opportunities within the assigned market.
• Perform other duties related to city expansion as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
• Previous experience in sales, business development, field marketing or customer acquisition is an advantage.
• Strong pitching, communication and negotiation skills.
• Confident and comfortable approaching and engaging potential business partners.
• Target-driven and able to work independently.
• Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable working in the field and travelling within the assigned area.
• Good computer literacy.
• Self-driven, energetic and proactive.
